Types

Quite frankly, there are infinite kinds of succulents candles out there. There possibly exists a candle or more in the exact shape and color as all succulent species known to man. The major differentiating factor, however, will be if the candle is scented or unscented. Such that for a scented cactus plant succulent candle, there exists an unscented replica of it. Below are more different ways these succulent candles are manufactured.

Stand Alone

The stand-alone kinds come molded in a fire-resistant material such as a metallic bucket, ceramic or glass artifacts that do not need to be held in to place by anything else. The containers ideally look like planters and can be purchased singly or as a set of candles. These sorts are available in different sizes, and you may acquire whatever size you deem fit for you. Floating

Floating succulent candles are ideally the smaller kinds that can easily fit into bigger containers filled with water. The underlying material these succulent candles come lodged on is either sponge or wooden. Basically, any element that floats on water. They may be placed in homemade ponds and in water-filled bowls.

Assorted Terrariums

Some succulent candles are bought as a terrarium of assorted lights. They differ in color, shape, and sizes that make the perfect scenery of a fairy garden. The size of the terrariums can be designed by themes such as a medieval landscape or a miniature botanical garden.

Safe Places To Place Them

After making or buying these fantastic candles, you have to find the perfect location to put them. Remember, candles; the conventional flame ones, are a fire hazard. Therefore the position you choose to place them has to be a safe zone first and foremost. Below are some of those spaces.

Undressed Tables

Undressed tables are perfect locations to place your succulent candles. First of all, they will add character to your desk, and most importantly, not be a fire hazard. The chances of you knocking over a candle placed in the middle of the table are quite rare, making it a safe spot.

Concrete Stands

Concrete stands are another spot that your succulent lights will look marvelous placed on. They are fantastic to touch, which is advantageous because the wax dries off on contact in case of a spill. And secondly, when the candle burns to the end, it will just go off and not cause a fire.

Bathrooms

People find placing candles, especially scented ones, to be very relaxing when placed in the bathroom. Having small scented jade plant succulent candles will, therefore, be a notch higher from the normal. A touch of class and a sweet aroma to help you unwind during your bath. The contrasting shades of the bright white color of the tiles to the vivid greens and reds of the candles makes the bathroom a room you never want to leave.

Staircases & Hallways

Wide stairs and hallways are also great locations you may place your little lights at. They are a great alternative to using light bulbs on hallways and stairs. These lights, however, must be placed a few inches away from the wall, and the owner must continuously keep an eye on them in case of anything.

Spots To Never Place Candles

Having a candle can be a fabulous addition to your household, although you must never place theses succulent candles in the locations mentioned below.

Near Drapings

Candles must never be placed near anything that dangled from above. Especially if they are made of a material that can catch fire easily. That includes curtains, sheers, clothing, and nets.

On or Near Books

They may look excellent on your bookshelf, but this is a no-no. Paper can catch fire when it comes into contact with a spark or a flame. Additionally, the wax can get on your books and make a complete mess that will destroy your books.

Near The Bed

Setting these succulent candles on your bed stand may seem like a good idea, but it is highly discouraged. The reason being is that you may doze off and leave the candle unattended, and the candle may send a spark to your bedding and cause a fire. And considering the mattress burns very first, you may hurt yourself or your loved one by forgetting to put it off when you slept.

Places Children & Pets Can Access

Toddlers and pets are generally curious and will, for sure, get fascinated by these plants that light up. Because of this, they will want to find out more by touching them. And this is a danger because they may burn themselves, set something on fire, or eat the wax, which is unsafe for consumption.

Smart Candle Safety Rules

As a precautionary you must always do the following;

Put off the candlewick completely whenever you are done with them. Please ensure the wick is not smoking or glowing, as it may rekindle and continue burning without your knowledge.

For the succulent candles that do not come in containers, always put them in a candle holder so that they do not make a mess with the wax, and when they burn to the bottom, they will not set fire to anything else.

For a cleaner, neater burn, always cut the wick to 1/4 inch before burning. At this height, even when there is a draft, a spark is least likely to fly off to a flammable material nearby.

If you are to burn the succulent lights in bulk, space the candles at least 3 inches apart. They will not melt each other faster at this distance since there is ample space for each to burn at their own pace.

Lastly, always have a fire extinguisher nearby if an accident occurs and something catches fire. What they say is true is better safe than sorry, and having an extinguisher is as safe as possible.
