“Pediocactus” GenusCactiPediocactus comes from the Greek term “pedion,” meaning “plain.” It is also commonly called “hedgehog cacti.” Currently, this genus has six to eleven identified species. Pediocactus is found exclusively in North Mexico. This genus is considered rare and prized as collector’s pieces.
