Escobaria is native to the Atlantic and North America, particularly in Canada, Southeastern United States, and Mexico. It belongs to the Cactaceae family and currently has twenty-five species. In terms of physical appearance, Escobaria plants are typically small and cylindrical. The flowers can be green, red, purple, pink, or yellow. Escobaria is not the easiest genus to grow as it is susceptible to root rot, and germination might take longer than usual.
