“Copiapoa” Genus Cacti Copiapoa is a known flowering genus from the Cactaceae cactus family. It is native to the Atacama Desert, Northern Chile. Copiapoa’s natural habitat is dry coastal deserts. In terms of physical appearance, this genus has elongated shoots, visible spines in various shapes, densely wooly-haired, and visible in color brownish to the blue-green body. Copiapoa also produces tubular yellow flowers. Currently, this genus has thirty-two named species and five heterotypic subspecies.
