“Austrocylindropuntia” Genus

Austrocylindropuntia Genus Image

Austrocylindropuntia comes from the Cactaceae family. This genus has eleven recognized species. Austrocylindropuntia is native to South America. The prefix “austro” means “southern”. Austrocylindropuntia’s known physical features are round leaves, flowers that are yellow, orange, or red on spiny tubes, and thick and rounded fruits. This genus is fast-growing and is prevalent in landscape garden plants.
